We're looking for folks to help serve food, welcome people to the event, staff the art and games tables and more.

Join the BNS DEI Committee Next School Year

We are welcoming new parents, caregivers to bring new perspectives and to create new opportunities to explore diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI)  in our school. Since the creation of the Committee in February 2020, we have hosted anti-racist workshops for white parents and brave spaces for Black and brown parents, initiated a Book Swap to support our annual read-a-thon, and become dedicated participants in the annual and nationwide Black Lives Matter in School movement. Want to contribute to this effort? Please reach out to us at DEI@bns146.org if you are interested in becoming part of the DEI committee, which works to fulfill the founding philosophy of our beloved school!

Last Farm Stand of the year - Wednesday, June 8th, 2:00-3:30pm. We still need volunteers!

We'll have apples, arugula, cilantro, eggs, hakurei turnips, maple syrup, radishes, red leaf lettuce, spinach, tomatoes and Tuscan kale - all from local farms!

Suggested donations are set at wholesale prices. If you can, please chip in a little extra so we can keep produce affordable for everyone.

Continue to take Precautions Against COVID-19

Due to recent increases in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations in New York City, we urge you to take the following proven precautions to protect your family and our communities:

  • Wear a mask. We recommend that everyone age 2 and older wear a well-fitting mask in all public indoor settings, including at school, even if not required.

  • Get vaccinated and boosted. Everyone age 5 and older should get vaccinated against COVID-19, including getting a booster shot when eligible. Find out where: nyc.gov/vaccinefinder or by calling 877-VAX-4NYC (877-829-4692).

  • Stay home when sick. Everyone should stay home if they are sick or test positive for COVID-19 and follow all guidance, including wearing a well-fitting face mask for 10 days.

  • Get tested. To find a testing site, visit nyc.gov/covidtest(Open external link). Testing is free at many sites.

  • Consider other precautions, such as avoiding crowds, limiting gatherings to a small number of people, increasing ventilation, and wearing a higher quality mask.
