Letter From Leadership 9/14
Dear Families,
This is our first installment in Letters from Leadership! In Letters from Leadership, we will continue to focus on life at BNS through the eyes of our children and educators - moments of joy, success, challenge, inquiry, sustainability, social justice, social emotional and physical health. This will take the place of weekly letters embracing the shift in community needs to move BNS into a new tradition.
Life at BNS is back in full swing! Children are hard at work joining their classmates as teachers facilitate community building activities to encourage relationships with each other and their classroom educator team. Strong communication, shared goals, focused collaboration, and classroom norms & routines will support the future independence and growth of our learners. They are exploring and experimenting with materials and already asking important questions. Our family/school partnership means a greater chance at a successful year. We are excited for the year ahead, knowing that the best part about learning is that we will be doing it together - no question too small or wondering too big.
Enjoy your 10-minute conferences as the first touch point with your teaching-team for the year. You have valuable insight and we hope to continue to learn from you. Thank you for entrusting us with your children.
Happy New School Year!
Until next time,
Diane & Malika
These second graders are ready for physics lessons! Look at them go!
Sonny, now in 6th grade, reminds us that even after our kids graduate, they never truly leave us.
