Thursday, Sept 12 at 8:30am in the Art Room (room 103)
The Brooklyn New School was founded in 1987 by a group of parents and teachers who wanted to create a school:
Get involved! Come to the first PTA meeting of the year to meet Principal Anna Allanbrook and Assistant Principal Diane Castelucci as well as PTA Co-President Amy Tate and other BNS parents. Hear about various committees, learn about the school budget, and take part in shaping the way we do the work. Parent involvement is essential to making BNS the amazing school we all know and love!
PTA meetings will be held once a month on Thursday mornings, and they will often be combined with Parents as Learning Partners sessions. These sessions are themed presentations and discussions based on parent interest. Themes may include screen time, social emotional learning, and difficult conversations, among others.
The first Parents as Learning Partners will be about the after-school band program and will take place on Thursday, Sept 26 at 8:20am in the Art Room (room 103).
